Resources/Tools

The video resources in this site come from a variety of existing sources. This site provides links to these resources and has made some effort to put them into context. This contextual information is by no means complete. Because these are all linked resources, if they are removed from the original site, then the links will be broken.

Many of these video resources are offered as downloads. Google videos are very easy to download. To download one of interest, click on the Google icon in the video player; you will be presented with the option of going to the pertinent page on the Google Video site. Here you can pick the file format that you want and download the file. One of the formats offered will play in the Video iPod.

In the case of video from other sites downloading is not so easy. However there are some online tools that will make this possible though if you really feel strongly about setting up your own video archive.

This site (keepvid.com) offers download tools.
CinemaForge is a nice tool for converting Flash video to other formats such as .mov and .wmp

The Moving Image Archive at archive.org/details/movies is a great source of downloadable video resources as well.

There are a lot of good informational resources out there if you know where to look.
